Christian Evangelic Church of the Living God in Irshava

The evangelizing activity in Irshava was started by the United Christian Evangelic Church of the Living God in the middle of 1999. At first the community of believers rented a hall in a cinema for services, but later, under the influence of religious opposition the local authorities forbad the administration of the cinema and many other organizations to lease any room to the Church of the Living God. Since then the services are held like home church - Christians gather at home for worhip and preaching. During first years the number and membership of parishioners was constantly changing. Officially the church was registered i 2002. In August 2002 Oleksandr Izay was laid hands upon as a presbyter. Since then the church grew numerously, but then there was a painful screening of those people who did not want to move in unity and of the so-called «spiritual dead bodies». In the middle of 2004 about 15 persons attended services, 10 of which are members of the church.
Children ministry is attended by 7 kids.We regularly have prayer meetings and trainings for future ministers. Earlier with the help of our Union we organized various evangelizations for the masses, but now we are practising in and developing evangelization through personal relationships with unbelievers.
